ACON PROJECT TITLED “DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AMONG NIGERIAN CHILDREN”

The African Council on Narcotics (ACON) has put out a request for funding under the auspices of the US based GlobalGiving for a project titled DRUG ABUSE PREVENTION AMONG NIGERIAN CHILDREN.

This project plans to set up Drug-Free Clubs in 200 Secondary Schools in Abuja – Federal Capital Territory, to foster drug abuse prevention among teenagers. The project will create critical awareness to support substance abuse prevention education among Nigerian children in other to check their increasing involvement in the substance abuse culture.

The total funding goal for the project is 49,145USD.

The fund raising appeal commenced on March 9, 2020, 9am ET. We would owe all donors a debt of profound gratitude pursuant to this project.
